Viktor Orbán’s illiberal demegocracy

Can’t find the devil? Create the devil!

In every country of the World, there is at least one main problem the current government must solve. It may be a financial or demographic crisis, leading the nation through a systematic transformation, or – as in Hungary – to defend its people against real or perceived threats. Well, we have a lot of them. It’s not just the immigration crisis, we also have many evil powers working against us, says the government. There’s the Russian intelligence, there’s Brussels, there’s the pressure from the foreign affairs of the United States of America, and of course, first and worst, the Devil itself: our government should defend us, the demos, of being struggled of the intrigues of George Soros, who is now, after the death of the oldest Rockefeller, the sole holder of the World’s Most Evil Person Title. Mr. Orbán is doing a great job on this front, as he and his Government don’t miss a single chance to remind us how terrific our everyday lives would be without their heroic strife against this uninhibited snake.

George Soros wants not just simply fray out decay for his motherland Hungary, but he does it in acts of painstaking and enormous struggles. As we got to know it from Mr. Orbán, this evil man navigates every liberal state just to do any harm possible to Hungary. Why? That is the way he has a good time. Nonetheless, we have to admit he just cannot be a nice guy after all these dark intentions of his have been revealed, right?

Just follow the Sacred Defender!

As we reached the point of liberalism, we must talk about it. From our government’s communication, we gratefully come to know that all the liberal states of Europe are soon going bankrupt. Even so, some of them still spends their rearmost Eurocents to undermine Hungary. Maybe they are envious, maybe they are governed by George Soros, maybe they want to demolish the Chosen Nation of Hungarians… It doesn’t matter, Mr. Orbán probably knows it, he and János Lázár (first man of the Prime Minister’s Office) are the men in charge to guard this knowledge. Bless on the Dear Leader, our Sacred Defender, he worked out a brand new political view to save us; it is called illiberal demagocracy. It may sometimes be referred to as illiberal democracy, but don’t you ever let yourself being lead, the point is demagogy in the first line! With so familiar measures he brings back the good old days of Socialism. Hungary enjoys oligarchy, political purges, arising internal tension, arbitrary censorship of school books and many other gifts of this old but gold political trend.

Hungarian politics is all about looking for external enemies, too, and when doing so, argute Mr. Orbán couldn’t have missed to notice the liberal European countries’ lining up to demolish our noble homeland. Thanks to him, we know we must take every measure to secure ourselves from the devastation which comes hand in hand with liberalism.

Retrospect for the fallen ones

Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark are look-a-likes of Sodom and Gomorrah, and they will stay so, as long they are liberal. Poor people of these countries have to suffer all that liberalism means. Finland has the best school system in the World, Sweden and Norway don’t know how to burn that orbital lump of spare money they have, Danish and Swedish people are the best non-native English speakers, Scandinavian people are happy, living extremely high living conditions, do what they want to do. Their politics and media enjoy high level transparency and freedom of speech – yes, they write and talk about the problems with immigrants, too. Poor people there… Their only fault – and we must admit it – is their immigration policies. This wouldn’t have to mean the idea of liberalism is an evolutionary dead end, but it does for Mr. Orbán! It does, if he can turn it into verification of building his long-cherished dictatorship. It doesn’t matter if a system can show up a model education system, a model health care system, a model media ruling, a model mentality and a model social network. Liberalism is bad if it also comes with freedom of speech and a mistaken immigrant policy – which is now under review, by the way. The only way to go – even with dying healthcare, outdated education system, manipulated media, oligarchy – is illiberal demagogism. Well it is probably the way to go for a small group of people.

He's not fighting New World Order, he’s building it

Orbán doesn’t miss a chance to highlight that liberal democracies just didn’t work and the idea is defunct. We fight against the United States, we fight against the Norway-funded NGOs, we fight against George Soros, we fight against Brussels. No price tag deters Mr. Orbán from his sick self-justification. The problem is he buys it all with the country’s credit card, and we will have to start our loan repayment right after we finally get rid of him, his mafia-like branch of oligarchs, and his gruesome illiberal demagocracy. We can’t say how long will we have to suffer from its consequences, or how long will it take to heal the blights on Hungarian souls caused by the poisoning years of Orbán’s illiberal demagocracy, but one stable fact is that if we turn him down in the 2018 elections, it’s already way too late.

Another bad news is, there’s no chance to turn him down next year, and it doesn’t seem there would be any possible alternate in present opposition we would be much luckier with. Even if there were, Orbán created a voting system to prevent almost half a million Hungarians who flee the country because of him from voting. He’s using the media so nasty that would make any former communist leader envious. On Sunday two weeks ago, more than 60000 people went to the streets to protest against the dictatorship he’s building, but the governmental supervised newspapers and websites – there’s more and more of them – absolutely forgot to mention the protests! The nationwide TV channels – for example the state media and TV2, now owned by Andy Vajna, Mr. Orbán’s good friend – had to report the so-called “Regrettable Events”; and so they did, giving titles like “They were less, than expected”, “Soros tried everything, but that wasn’t enough”. They stated George Soros organized the demonstrations and he flew thousands of foreigners to Budapest to join it. Yes, they mean it…

The government says the protest was only against Lex CEU, avoiding people chanting against dozens of regulations of the last 7 years. Media regulation, education reform, university reform, oligarchy – some illiberal steps to silent opposition, grow a generation loyal to the Fidesz Party, rebuild the intellectual layer from friends and relatives.

Anyway, if we are not willing to learn from Scandinavian countries, but to blame and feel sorry for them, we will have the same wonky education and healthcare system, rotting media, self-torturing mentality and xenophobic views as we do now. The regime simplified Hungarian common talk so bad that people can’t see the difference between liberalism and neo-liberalism, defending and simply building ethic walls between Hungary and Western civilization. The longer we keep it this way, the longer the recreation will take.

In every country of the World, there is a main problem the current government must solve. In the United States of America, I consider the healthcare system to be that financial and demographic black hole. In liberal European countries, I assume it’s the immigration policy. And, sad to state, thanks to Mr. Orbán, it’s now everything except immigration policy in Hungary.
